THE START

So we were told what it was, a Hospital owned by what can I call that "suki" client. It won't be that something new but this one's important because it'll be their first time building such type of structure. One that is their own and not franchised. So there were six of us, and yeah we know each other. But somehow it started also a some sort of bond among us. It somehow deepened what we know about each other and created fun moments during overtimes & overnights. Yeah "overnights" because the first month was crucial for us. The planning from the scratch thing was hard for us because unlike how we designed our hospital plate, we had to be reasonable as to why we would put the spaces beside each other and other concerns for that matter when we really didn't know how they function or how those spaces would even look like. It somehow gave us an amount of stress as we have to do that every week for the meeting and expect a lot of revisions after. We were so busy that we sacrificed our jogging sessions for overtime and cheat on our respective diets just to be full and be effective enough to work. But even so, we knew that this was a good opportunity for us. We were made to do hospital visits, talk to persons that has got to do with the spaces we designed. But in as much as I would like to upload pics sharing hospital interiors is not allowed..pfffftttt....:P
THE FUN PART
Well, aside from music that's keeping us calmed and unbored?? throughout the working hours, I would say food would be the best form of stress relievers for us designers/architects (well i'm soon to be..heheh..hoping).. That is why most of us gets chubbier the more we get busier (and older perhaps?...heheh..)

The whole planning process was exhausting. Well, from the beginning I knew that this was a stressful & tough profession. What I liked about the whole idea was this. We ( the apprentices) may not get much of the credit as the architect does, but we know that we were part of the team and we played a big part of the whole planning process. This keeps me thinking that if one day this building gets constructed, I would be proud that the thing I did would be able to extend many people's lives as soon as the building operates. After all, it's God who gives us the best rewards for what we do. As of now, I'm happy that the building was shown to the public and it made us (Team UCMC - as what we call ourselves), very proud of our hardwork..
