During the presentation day of our charrette for Mandaue 2020 @ CAFA theater, we were informed that the exhibit will be moved to a larger venue in order for a larger crowd to view it. We thought it was nothing serious until we were called for the ingress @ parkmall to put up our models for the opening of the exhibit the next day October 25.
The next day we arrived early for the opening of the exhibit which was attended by the business sectors, officials of Mandaue City as well as the press people. There were fewer people at parkmall because it was past 9am when the press conference started. It began with an opening prayer and followed by the Mayor's brief speech about the exhibit. While the whole program and ribbon cutting was going on, we can't help but be proud that our work went that far. That was why we realized that of all the graduating batch who underwent esquisse, we had the toughest, because it was Mandaue City. The expectations were very high and we had to make an impression. After the ribbon cutting and viewing of the displays, the press conference started and the exchange of question and answer by the media men to the mayor began. Only 2 of the proposals were presented because they are the ones that will likely be approved first. The government center will be the first concern of the Mayor and they had already 300M budget for it..Though our proposal will not be the main concern at this moment, we are still happy that they liked our ideas for future Mandaue city.....here are some pics of our exhibit....
